Our Leadership

Terry Brinker

Terry is a seasoned electric industry professional with over 30 years in the business. He founded Reliable Energy Advisors as a boutique consulting firm prioritizing building relationships and developing innovative solutions over profits.  Starting his career at NIPSCO (NiSource,) Terry wore several hats including Journeyman Lineman, Station Operator, and Transmission System Supervisor.
He then went on to help start the largest independent market at MISO where he rose to the rank of Reliability Coordinator.

From there Terry was recruited to join NERC where he managed the Standards Information Department, and the Registration Department and implemented Risk-based Registration which is still in place today.  While at NERC, he conducted several audits, spot checks, and control room certifications.  Additionally, Terry also worked for Burns & McDonnell Engineering where he was a Senior Consultant specializing in NERC compliance where he managed multiple clients and multiple projects.

Terry excels in managing large projects, risk management, and internal controls. He has a B.S. in Organizational Management from Calumet College, an M.B.A. from Indiana University Northwest, and a Certification in Strategic Management from Harvard University.  With Terry on board, you can depend on efficient operations.
